2012 Summit of Councils of Deans 9.00-11.30am, Friday 9 March, Hotel Realm, CanberraThe 2012 Summit of Councils of Deans will be a satellite event of the Australian Universities Higher Education Conference in Canberra. The summit will be an opportunity for all Deans’ Councils to meet in an informal, discursive and open environment. Each Deans’ Council will be invited to share information prior to the summit on issues and challenges affecting their discipline’s policies, programs, practices and structures.
Discussions will involve TEQSA’s role in linking disciplinary standards into the new regulatory, accreditation and quality assurance framework and the impact of the ‘Caps Off’ environment across disciplines. Universities Australia, incoming Chief Executive Officer, Belinda Robinson has also been invited to present on future plans, challenges and on how Universities Australia can better engage with Deans to address key areas of common concern and expected policy developments.
Who should attend: Interested Executive Deans or Pro Vice-Chancellors. We particularly encourage Presidents, Chairs, Executive Members and Executive Officers of all Councils of Deans to attend.
