National meeting in conjunction with the 2010 DASSH Conference & AGM

Associate Deans’ program starts at 9am and Deans' program  at 11am Wednesday 29 September. Both finish at lunchtime Friday 1 October.

Travel assistance available to members of Associate Deans (Learning & Teaching) Network.

AD’s need to submit their registration and an invoice for their return air travel plus $200 to the DASSH national office before the 10 September 2010.

Focussing on key issues around policy, standards, internationalisation and other current issues in higher education.

Associate Deans (L&T) will have an opportunity to discuss how the Network can be best used to assist in the preparation for standards and performance indicators.  They will also consider the ongoing operation of the Network, collaborations and projects, and regular national meetings.

Combined sessions are programmed for Deans and Associate Deans and concurrent sessions on topics relevant to each group.

Specific sessions for Associate Deans:

• DEEWR briefings on current policy issues
• Updates on standards and outcomes of ALTC discipline scholars, and the role of Associate Deans
• Managing change and achieving influence: a professional development workshop by Oars Across the Water Management Consultants
• Forward planning for network activities and collaborative projects

The conference is set in the picturesque and beguiling town of Fremantle. Easy access to Perth and Margaret River.
