Each year, the Australasian Council of Deans of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities (DASSH) holds a Conference in conjunction with its Annual General Meeting.
The Conference and AGM is usually hosted at a campus of one of its members.
The DASSH Associate Deans Learning and Teaching Network also meet at the same time and place.
The conference is for those interested in the governance and management of research and learning and teaching and current and emerging issues for higher education in Australian and New Zealand universities. All DASSH members, their staff and interested persons from allied organisations are invited to attend.
Focussing on key issues around policy, standards, internationalisation and other current issues in higher education.
Combined sessions are programmed for Deans and Associate Deans and concurrent sessions on topics relevant to each group.
Deans’ program begins at 11am and Associate Deans’ at 9am Wednesday 29 September. Both finish at lunchtime Friday 1 October.

The conference is set in the picturesque and beguiling town of Fremantle. Easy access to Perth and Margaret River.

This event is an excellent opportunity to speak directly to the nation’s decision-makers and members of parliament to discuss the value of the work and research in arts, social sciences and humanities.
In 2009, DASSH has taken a gold sponsorship of HOTH. Five free registrations are available for DASSH members selected by the Board. Other DASSH members can register at their own expense, $220.
HOTH is organised by the Council for Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (CHASS). It is open only to CHASS members. Attendance by DASSH members is a benefit of your DASSH membership of CHASS.
